Historic Event
This historic event drawing show the explosion of an atomic bomb. Albert Schweitzer was apposed to even testing such things, and he was right. When a nuclear blast is tested it sends Radioactive elements into the atmosphere that does not go away. Further, these elements embed themselves into the was and soil, so that all of our food is contaminated.
Atom bomb explosion 384A
The historic event drawing show the giant mushroom cloud bursting into the air. Yellow and orange inks show the light of the fire ball that pushes the mushroom cloud upward. The heat that is emitted from these blast is almost as hot as the sun. Hatched lines were used to make the shade and shadows of the clouds around the fire balls. I made use of light ink color near the top of the mushroom cloud and darker ink at the sides and bottom of the rendering.
Drawing Characteristics
Characteristics of this historic event are the different inks and ink color that were used to show the glowing light of the fission. I used a fine tip pen nub to draw the explosion because it offers a finer line for hatching the shaded areas. This rendering had to be carefully executed because I wanted to make sure that the drawing looked like clouds. It is easy to confuse this with a kind of exotic plant or stage set design. I wanted the yellow set down first because it shows off the glow of light from the explosion. The more light in the drawing the better because fusion is light intensive.
