Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is looking south from Lincoln Park to the near north side, or Streeterville. Streeterville has the second largest cluster of skyscrapers outside of the Loop in Chicago. In this area we have the former John Hancock Center, and the Four Seasons Hotel. This area is the most exclusive and expensive real estate district in all of Chicago. East Lake Shore Drive which runs along the lake, is the most expensive strip of real estate in the city. Also, it is the only small strip of 4 blocks that goes east of Lake Shore Drive, all the rest is north and south.
Lincoln Park
The perspective of this cityscape rendering is low, because the buildings are tall. Lincoln Park is just north of Streeterville along Lake Michigan, and it has a zoo and large parks. This area is one of the most desired places to live in Chicago because of it’s beauty. Doing a cityscape from this perspective is a favorite choice, because the view takes in the skyscrapers, parks, and Lake Michigan. The reflection of the skyscrapers in this cityscape make the work of art very tranquil and a pleasure to look at. It is a difficult task to drawing building in moving water, but they are well rendered in this cityscape drawing.
