Because of the steel industry the economy of Pittsburgh grew rapidly as did it’s skyline. Most importantly Pittsburgh boast of the largest skylines on the eastern side of the country. It is in many way a eastern “San Francisco” with all of it’s many hills.
Key elements of this work of art are as follows:
Downtown
Pittsburgh skyline watercolor painting of downtown at sunset. This view of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is taken looking to the south east at the junction of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers to form the Ohio River. Because this view of Pittsburgh is big, it’s skyline is big. The view considered one of the most spectacular view of the city and it grandeur. Most importantly in many ways Pittsburgh is like the San Francisco of the east coast. The population is not as dense but the downtown is not that much smaller.
Allegheny River
Driving out of the tunnel to cross over the Allegheny River to the point is also breath taking. Pittsburgh is home to many famous Museums and educational institutions including the Carnegie Museum and the Duquesne University. On fourth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh sits the famous Duquesne Club with has been called the most prestigious private business club in the United States.
