Description
Baltimore skyline drawing #36A, is a pen & ink cityscape rendering by artist and United States Navy Veteran, Stephen F. Condren, BFA, SAIC. Condren Galleries is a Fine Arts Gallery, offering original works of art and prints. This view is overlooking the historic Inner Harbor. Because Baltimore is not far from Washington D.C. this great city is located to many vital civic and cultural museums, and research centers.
The Inner Harbor is a focal point of Baltimore, and therefore, is a popular perspective of this great city. There is a large variety of buildings that constitute the skyline that give the city character. One of the things that I like best about this skyline is the nice balance of building heights. Unlike Chicago or Los Angeles, which are cities that have a few giant towers looming over the rest of the skyline. Baltimore has a nice balance array of buildings. Also, the way the building are positioned around the Inner Harbor is very nice, and not crowed or cluttered.
The best feature of the Baltimore skyline is the water. Bodies of water always make for a great setting in a skyline rendering. Cities like San Francisco, and Manhattan really gain luster because of the water that is by them. When you are looking for a city with charm, you do not have to go any further, because Baltimore has it all. The best in fine hotels and restaurants, complimented by excellent museums, and Educational institutions for higher learning.
