This is the second drawing that I have done of Abel Albonetti, because he is a beautiful male. However, with this drawing I wanted to work with shading, because it brings out the drama of the dominate male image.
Pencil Rendering
Below is my pencil rendering as a preliminary sketch of the drawing, because I use this as a guide for the darker leads that are to follow. The most important elements in this drawing are the use of negative space, because it comes from behind the model. I made sure to have the dark shading to the left side of the drawing, because if I put it all around him it would flatten the image, and ruin the drawing.
