- John Hancock Center: The John Hancock Center is quietly resting at the left hand side of the watercolor to balance the composition of the trees on the right side and the pond in Lincoln Park at the bottom.
- Fall Season: The colors are both of the fall season and at sunset to you have a winning combination of colors. The bright yellow on the right hand side is the after glow of the setting sun and the darker tones are the clouds and vapors in the more distant sky.
- Lincoln Park: The pond of Lincoln Park Zoo can be seen at the bottom of the watercolor and it should be noted that water does not reflect sunset colors, but rather the light of the reflecting shore line.
