The understanding of Fine Art is essential in grasping a cogent understanding of the peoples of the World today and our current globalization of both economies and cultures.
Condren Galleries Ltd.
Condren Galleries Ltd., is a Fine Arts Gallery specializing in landscapes, portraiture, skylines, architectural renderings, figure drawings, and paintings. The focus of my work has been in pen & ink drawings and watercolors.
Pen & Inks
Pen & inks have been a long time favorite for me as I very much enjoy working shade and shadows with cross hatching ink lines. However, I have a strong background in oil painting which is clearly reflected in my landscape oils.
This fine specimen is well built, and athletic, because he keeps his body fit. The figure is shown looking at the viewer, because that is the focal point of the drawing. His eyes are looking straight at you, because he has an interest in you.
Pencil Rendering
In the preliminary sketch below you can see all the elements of the boy’s physique in place, because the outline of his body in well placed.

This debonair young cowboy has his eye on you, because he is looking at you from under his 10-gallon hat. He is tipping his hat, because he is acknowledging you. In these days of the rude, and crude his manners are a breath of fresh air, because we rarely see good manners these days.
Pencil Rendering
The purpose of this drawing was an exercise in contour lines for male figures, because I want to minimize hatched lines. In the preliminary drawing below you can see the outline of the cowboy’s physique, because his key body point elements are all in place. I use the sketch as a guide for my darker contour lines that follow afterwards in the pencil figure drawing, because they dominate the image.

This wonderful drawing of a beautiful young shirtless cowboy is most pleasing to me, because I have captured his essence. Like Scheherazade, his look has an alluring mystique to it, because it is calling you. His rugged good looks are captivating, because of his spellbinding eyes.
Pencil Rendering
The pencil rendering is done with HB, and a 6B leads, because they offer darker, and softer lines. The focus of this drawing are the contour lines, because they capture his physique.

This fine young cowboy is out on the planes hauling a satchel, because you can see the strap, and packet on his right side. The rays of the sun are sharp, and clear, as they cut a clear line of demarcation along his face, and shoulders, because he is in direct sun light.
Pencil Rendering
In the preliminary sketch below, you can see the lines delineating his body, because all of his physique elements are there. I have made a point to let the lines be light, because I did not want them to compete with the contour lines that are to come.
Contour Lines
In the finish drawing at the top, you can see the deep, and dark contour lines, because they precisely mark his outline. I use as little hatching as possible to let the contour lines reign free, because they give the image authority.

This drawing is a joy to behold, because it reminds me of the good times that I had at Hunter’s Nightclub, near Chicago. I would go there often, and draw portraits of the patrons, because I like to draw people live on the spot. I also would do bar scene drawings as well.
Rendering
In the rendering above is my pencil portrait of Sean Pocewicz, that I drew while I was at Hunter’s, because I was talking with him. I very much like this rendering, because the high contracting light, and dark bring out his character. The pencil was a dark Ebony pencil, because it has a bold dark line. He was a good sitter, because he let me capture the spirit in his face. In the background I have darkened the scene, because I wanted it to support the image.

This rugged cowboy is fitting to get underway with a lot of work to do, because he is hauling a long piece of cable on his left arm. On his head is a brand new hat, because he is the model for the manufacturer. When you have to work hard to get the cash spend it wisely, because hard time are always around the corner.
Pencil Rendering
I took great delight in doing this drawing, because the image was cool. I immediatley took to the contrasting shade in the image, because this is great for line work.

The shading was well done with rough lines. His gloves are outlined sufficiently enough to give you the image, because he is a hard working young man.

This lovely pencil drawing of a young lady is most appealing to the eye, because she is looking right at you. The young lady is on the floor with her hands, and knees, because she is being playful. She seems to be interested in you, because you are looking at her!
Pencil Rendering
The rendering of the drawing is heavily in shade, because of the shadows cast from underneath her torso. She is shadowed with an immense about of hatching, and cross-hatching lines, because this give the form of the figure in shade. I have made a point to evenly distribute the hatch lines, because I want the tones to be even all over. The contour lines that are used in the drawing are light, because I did not want them to take away from the hatch lines.

This lovely pen & ink drawing of a young couple is sheer delight, because they look natural, and happy. The male figure stands tall and erect showing the glory of his fair male beauty, because males are the fair gender. Behind, and beneath him rests his mate, who looks ever so pleased with her man, because she is in love.
Pencil Rendering
This rendering is essentially a study of contour lines, because it is an outline drawing. It has been my goal to achieve the difficult task of doing a contour drawing without flattening the subject, because this is common with contour drawings. I used almost no hatch lines for shade, and shadows, because that would take away from the contour lines.

This handsome couple ia set together beautifully, because the tower image of the beautiful male is the greatest glory of all creation. Crouched down beside him is his partner, who seems very much attached to him, as he is to her, because their bond is seen in this lovely image.
Pencil Rendering
This is essentially a contour line drawing, because there is little shadowing in it. There is a bit of hatching to give room for the side shading, because you need to show depth and perspective. I am pleased with how the contour lines nicely delineated the figures without making them a silhouette, because contour lines can do that.

This pencil drawing of a hot shirtless male is intended to be a study of contour lines, because I want to develop my skills with the outlining of the male body. The model in the drawing is young to middle age, not a twink, because he is too well developed, and too old. In art, the age of the modes is not the issue, but rather the subject at hand, because that determines your prerequisites.
He is very muscular, and displays is toned physique most adequately, because he works out every day. The lighting on the model is excellent, and a challenge to the artist, because there are a lot of areas that change light gradually.
Pencil Rendering For Male Figure Drawing
In all three drawing shown on the post you can see the bold contour lines of the figure, because that is my intention here. In the first sketch, with is the lightest, I have succeeded in capturing the figure, because you can see all of his body structure.
The second sketch shows the introduction of hatch lines to give shade and shadow, because this gives dimension. This model has beautiful eyes, and they show clearly in the drawing, because I have taken care to delineate their form.
