Sexy Naked Male Body Sketch

This is a study of high contrast lighting, because the figure is seen from frontal light. The contrasting element is the very black background behind the figure with the bright face light, because of the sharp light. I have made us a 6B lead pencil for a soft line, because that compliments the light. It is best practice to use only the lines that you need to make the image, because too many lines spoils the drawing. I have made some use of hatching but I have kept it to a minimum, because it can become too tedious.

Pencil Rendering For Nude Male Figure Drawing

The interesting thing about this drawing is that the form of the figure softens the high contrasting light, because of his body curves. If he were shaped like a cube then there would be no gradation in lighting tone, because all the light would hit on planes. The form of the young man’s body nicely adapts to the shade, and shadows of the light, because he makes nice forms.
