Jesus And Healing
A most salient item that most people look over when talking about Jesus is healing, because today we have modern medical Science. Of course we have the sick with us today, because there are millions of people without health care. Having just recovered from being a double root-canal, and in bed with throbbing pain for the last 24 I can well express this sentiment. However, it must be understood that back in antiquity infirmity was pervasive, because there was a lack of knowledge, money, and practitioners.
Access To Healthcare
Today we take for granted good health, however back in ancient times healthcare was almost non-existent, because there were no resources, and not enough skill practitioners. This is the key to success for the grass-roots movement that was started by John the Baptist and other desert people. If you give the people healing, they will follow you. Jesus gave the people food and healthcare, because He wanted them to follow Him. Rome was not going to give the Jews healthcare, because they hated the Jews. Jesus capitalized on the, and so He became sought after.
