Chicago Water Tower
The most famous landmark of all is the water tower. Chicago is the world famous Chicago Water Tower on north Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. This icon of a landmark because it is a symbol of the rebirth of Chicago. From the ashes of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 and hence earned the name “Second City”. Because the great fire tore through the center of the city and jumped over the Chicago River and continued to destroy all in its path.
Because when you first look at the Chicago Water Tower #200A it does not look like a water tower at all. In face the pumps for the tower and in the machine works building just across Michigan Avenue to the east.
